Report Student Absence

To report a student absent please follow the procedure below:

Absences must be reported before 9am on the morning of the absence to ensure the student is not marked in the register as being absent from school without authorisation.

Please find below the contact options for reporting an absence:

 

MyED App : The MyED App is the quickest and most effective way of reporting an absence.  If you have not yet downloaded the App, please see the letter and download information on the NKS website in the School Life/Letters Home section or click on the link : https://tinyurl.com/MyED-App-link

 

Email  You can send a message to the following email address : studentabsence@nks.kent.sch.uk, stating the student’s name, year group and reason for absence.

 

Phone You can leave a message on the absence line by ringing the school on 01233 620045; 
when the message service prompts you, please choose Option 1 (to report a student absence), then choose from the following options:

 

Dial 1 for Year 7

Dial 2 for Year 8

Dial 3 for Year 9

Dial 4 for Year 10

Dial 5 for Year 11

Dial 6 for Sixth Form

Please speak clearly, leaving your son’s/daughter’s name, year group and reason for absence.

 

Please do not email the Student Support Managers directly; staff are unable to access each other’s email accounts and, in case of staff absence, your message may not be acted upon.
