Our school community gathered on the morning of 10th November 2017 to mark Remembrance. At this time of year, we join people around the world in paying our respects to all those who have given their lives, or lost their lives, in wars around the world. An assembly of reflection was held and at 11am two minutes’ silence was observed. Members of the School Council, together with the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher, laid wreaths of poppies at our war memorial in the school grounds and the Last Post was played by Daniel Fitch. After this, a page was turned in our Book of Remembrance to honour those former students who lost their lives during the First World War and in other conflicts since then.
