Year 7 Admissions
This section of our website is intended for new students hoping to start at The Norton Knatchbull School in September 2026 and those considering applying for September 2027.
Free 11+ Familiarisation Materials
The Norton Knatchbull School is proud to be open to students from all backgrounds.
To encourage even greater representation of children at NKS, we work in partnership with Atom Learning, the leading online Key Stage 2 learning and 11+ preparation platform, to provide students who are eligible for pupil premium with free online learning and 11+ exam preparation.
This programme is designed to familiarise children with the type of questions they may see on the Kent Test, and build technique and confidence. They'll be able to access KS2 and 11+ practice questions, learning resources, and practice papers through their Atom Home account.
If your child has been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years, please fill in the form by clicking the button below. They will be given free access to Atom Home when their pupil premium status has been verified by their primary school.

Upcoming Open Events and Information
Year 6 Open Events Tuesday October 7th and Thursday October 9th:
In June 2025, we held two Open Mornings and our Open Evening for current Year 5 students who are looking to join NKS in September 2026.
These were very successful and showcased what we offer as a school.
If you missed these events, or want to see the school again, then we have two Open Mornings for Year 6 students in early October, 7th and 9th.
These will take place after your son has taken the Kent Test, but before you have the results and have to make your school choice.
They will allow you to meet the Year Team, Senior Leadership Team and Year 8 students. You will be able to hear from the Headteacher about what we can offer your son and have a tour of the school in action. The event begins at 09:15 and your tour should end by 10:30hrs.
Please use the link to sign up https://forms.office.com/e/UJnFXkrWyk.
If you have any questions, please email the Head of Year 7 and Primary Liaison, Mr Trafford, at wtrafford@nks.kent.sch.uk
