The Norton Knatchbull School is blessed with an amazing, hard-working and dedicated team. We, as a school, strongly believe in investing in people and helping them grow. We actively support our employees in career development and respect initiative and ambition. Staff progression is actively monitored through a thorough Performance Management Review (PMR) and constant opportunities for personal development are offered with our Continuing Professional Development (CPD). As well as formal and informal training, we offer coaching, mentoring and peer support to ensure the progression of our staff. SLT have an open door policy should staff need to discuss anything on a one to one basis.
In accordance with our Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy, the Norton Knatchbull School is committed to equal opportunities for all job applicants. It is important for our students to understand and experience the strength and depth of a diverse community and we aim to create a culture that encourages and values diversity, and that appoints, rewards, and promotes staff based on merit. To show our commitment to this, we regularly celebrate culture days and events; and the school has recently achieved the RACE Charter Mark at bronze level.
We are also delighted to announce that we have signed up with award-winning healthcare provider, Benenden Health, to offer free membership to all participating staff here at NKS. There is a vast range of member benefits and this is part of our commitment to the wellbeing of staff at NKS. Last but not least, we encourage staff to attend in-house "Well Being" sessions to learn new hobbies (badminton, pilates...) or just relax with colleagues.
